Privacy policy
Last updated September 30, 2026. This policy covers the AmVetUSA Transportation website (amvetusa.com) and our iPhone app.
What we collect
- Your account: name, email address, mobile phone, and optionally a company name and home address.
- Your trips: pickup and drop-off addresses, stops, dates and times, number of passengers and bags, flight details for airport trips, gate codes or access notes, and anything you write in notes or messages to us.
- Payments: invoices and payment records. Card details are entered directly into Stripe's secure form and never reach or stay on our servers.
- Reviews you choose to leave after a ride.
- Drivers and staff: name, email, phone and the rides assigned to them. Our vehicles carry GPS trackers; the app itself does not use your phone's location.
How we use it
Only to run your rides: confirm bookings, assign a driver, track airport flights so we pick you up on time, send trip updates by email and text message, bill you and send receipts, and answer your messages. We may email occasional announcements; every one has an unsubscribe link.
Who we share it with
- Your driver sees the trip details and your contact number.
- Stripe processes card payments. Twilio delivers our text messages. Our email provider delivers email.
- A flight-status service receives the flight number and date only, to check arrival times.
We do not sell your information, show ads, or track you across other apps or websites.
Text messages
If you give us a mobile number we may text you about your trips. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to stop them, or START to turn them back on.
Keeping and deleting your information
You can delete your account at any time: sign in, open My account → Delete my account (on the website or in the app). That cancels upcoming trips and removes your name, contact details and saved addresses. We keep records of past trips and payments that we need for accounting and tax purposes, with your phone number and email removed. You can also ask us to delete or correct your information by email.
Security
The site and app only use encrypted connections (HTTPS). Passwords are stored as one-way hashes.
Children
Accounts are for adults. Children may ride with an adult who books the trip.
